Dinner on the Bosphorus, with the Turkish Night show

The dinner cruise is a different kind of evening from the sunset cruise. This one starts later — boarding around 8 PM — and runs for about two and a half hours. The boat itself is larger: a three-deck cruise vessel with an indoor dining hall on the lower deck, an open upper deck for the ship’s skyline views, and a stage in the middle.

Dinner is a Turkish buffet: mezzes to start (hummus, haydari, ezme, stuffed vine leaves), grilled chicken or fish as a main, rice and salads, seasonal fruit and baklava at the end. Soft drinks are included; beer, wine and rakı are available to order. You eat while the boat sails slowly up the European side, past Dolmabahçe Palace lit for the night and under the first Bosphorus Bridge.

The Turkish Night show begins after dinner, around an hour in: a folk dance group in traditional costumes, a belly dancer, and a live band playing Turkish classics. At one point they invite guests up to dance — about half take them up on it. It’s friendly, a bit kitsch in the best way, and genuinely fun if you arrive expecting an evening out rather than fine dining.

Who this is for: groups of friends, couples who want the whole evening handled in one stop, travellers who’d rather eat with a view than fight for a restaurant booking. If you want the quiet photographic sail, book the sunset cruise (€34, no dinner, no show). If you want a private boat with your own catering, see the private dinner yacht.

Practical: dress code is smart casual, not formal. Vegetarian and gluten-free options are available — note your preference at booking. The boat sails even in light rain; only major storms get rescheduled.

You get a lot for your money here. The transportation, dinner, drinks, and show are all bundled. The boat is functional and clean. The food is decent banquet fare—the cold mezes were the highlight. The open bar is a great feature; the local beer and raki were served generously. The entertainment is professional and high-energy. It is, however, very much a mass tourism experience. It’s loud, crowded, and not particularly intimate. But if you go in with that expectation and want a fun, no-thinking-required evening with great views, you’ll have a good time. Solid value.

    • Bosphorus Sunset Team

Thank you, Nadia! Great value with everything bundled is what makes this cruise popular. We appreciate the practical feedback — it helps future guests know what to expect!

We booked the Gold Package for our honeymoon and have no regrets. The difference was immediately clear: a dedicated host greeted us and escorted us to a beautifully set private table. The panoramic windows provided an unparalleled view. The menu felt more curated, and the steak was tender. The drink service was impeccable. We enjoyed the vibrant shows from the comfort of our seats without the crowd. It felt exclusive and special. While expensive, it transformed the experience from a group tour into a private, romantic celebration. Worth it for a once-in-a-lifetime occasion.

    • Bosphorus Sunset Team

This is a fun, high-energy way to see the Bosphorus at night. The all-inclusive aspect makes it easy and good value. The pickup was on time. The boat was full but we found seating. The food was acceptable; the starters were better than the main course. The open bar with local drinks is a great perk and they are generous. The entertainment is lively and gets the audience participating. The views are stunning. It’s definitely a party boat atmosphere—loud and social. If that’s what you’re looking for, you’ll have a blast. Good organization and a solid evening out.

Thank you, Milo! We love that you enjoyed the fun, high-energy atmosphere on the Bosphorus. The all-inclusive setup is designed to make your evening easy and enjoyable. Hope to see you again!

  5. Julian Fox (verified owner)

This is a classic Istanbul tourist experience and it’s done very well. The logistics are smooth. The boat is comfortable, though it gets crowded. The food is decent; I enjoyed the mezes more than the main grilled chicken. The real value is the all-inclusive aspect: transport, food, unlimited local drinks, and hours of entertainment. The shows are cheesy in the best way—fun and engaging. The views are phenomenal. It’s not a gourmet or tranquil evening; it’s a lively party on the water. If you go with that mindset, you’ll have a blast. Great for groups or couples looking for a fun night out.

    • Bosphorus Sunset Team

Thank you, Julian! A classic Istanbul experience done well — that’s a great compliment. We appreciate you noting it’s comfortable even when crowded!

  6. Lena Dubois (verified owner)

A great experience overall with a few caveats. The pick-up was punctual. The boat is large and the views are, of course, magnificent. The food was good but not great—the mezes were delicious but the main course (meatballs) was just average. The unlimited local drinks package is fantastic and the staff was quick to bring refills. The shows are entertaining and varied. However, it is extremely loud, and the seating is very close together, which can be uncomfortable. The return transfer was a bit chaotic with many people looking for their buses. Still, for the price, it’s a fun and comprehensive evening.

    • Bosphorus Sunset Team

Thank you for the honest feedback, Lena! The Bosphorus views truly are magnificent, and we’re glad you enjoyed them. We appreciate your notes — they help us keep improving!

This tour is a great way to have a fun, hassle-free evening. The all-inclusive setup is convenient. The pickup was on time. The boat is spacious, though window seats are limited. The dinner was decent; the meze platter was good. The open bar with local drinks is a great value. The entertainment is fun and gets the crowd going. The night views of the city and bridges are stunning. It’s a lively, party-like atmosphere, so expect noise and energy. The return transfer was well-organized. For the price and what’s included, it’s a good deal and an enjoyable night out.

    • Bosphorus Sunset Team

Thank you, Eva! The door-to-door service is one of our most valued features. We are glad the spacious boat provided a comfortable experience. Hope to see you next time!
