The Bosphorus at your own pace, on a private yacht

The standard shared sightseeing cruise works for most people, but sometimes the group schedule isn’t what you want. Maybe your day is free-form, maybe you’re with people who don’t want to be on a crowded boat, maybe you want to stop for photos without worrying about the next departure. This is the alternative: a private yacht with a flexible route and a duration you set (typically 2–4 hours).

You pick up at your preferred point on the European side — Galata, Kabataş, or one of the Beşiktaş piers. The captain follows whatever route you want: the standard loop past Dolmabahçe, Ortaköy, Rumeli Fortress and Beylerbeyi, or a longer version reaching Anadolu Kavağı and the Black Sea mouth, or a shorter one focused on the first bridge area for photography.

The yacht seats up to 12. There’s an indoor cabin, an open rear deck, and a bow area — three distinct places to be on the boat. Soft drinks and light snacks included; alcoholic beverages and catering can be added at booking. There’s no fixed narration — we can provide an English-speaking guide on request, or skip that if you’d rather have it quiet.

Who this is for: couples, small family groups, or friend groups (3–12 people) who want the flexibility the shared tour doesn’t offer. If a fixed 2-hour shared cruise sounds fine, the sunset cruise (€34/person) is much cheaper.

Practical: private tours need 24-hour advance booking for captain scheduling. Midday tours are calmest weather-wise; late-afternoon tours give the best photography light.
