A full day on the water, not a cruise. You leave the urban Bosphorus behind and head south toward the Princes Islands — the chain of car-free islands in the Sea of Marmara, about an hour from central Istanbul. The yacht anchors in a sheltered bay (usually near Heybeliada or Burgazada, chosen on the day for the calmest water), and you swim off the boat for as long as you want.
Duration is 6–8 hours, typically 10 AM to 5 or 6 PM. The yacht is larger than the standard Bosphorus vessels — bigger swim platform at the stern, shaded seating for when you’re out of the water, a small kitchen for lunch service. Up to 12 guests.
What’s included: the boat, captain and crew, snorkels and towels, soft drinks, tea and coffee, and a lunch of grilled fish, salads and seasonal fruit (catered onboard, not from a restaurant stop). Swimming happens off the yacht directly — the swim platform lowers into the water and there’s a ladder. Water temperature ranges from about 20°C in June/October to 24°C in July/August; the season effectively runs May through mid-October.
Optional stops: a short walk on Heybeliada (historic former naval school and pine forest), or a fish lunch at a harbour restaurant on Burgazada instead of the onboard catering. Both add about an hour.
